What is Nada Piñata?
Nada Piñata is the do it yourself kit that allows
you to create your own paper mache sculpture at home.
Is it hard to do? No. Since it comes with a pre-made wire armature
(frame), the hard part is done for you. All that's left is just the fun! How does it work?
When you order one of the kits, it comes
with a pre-made wire animal. some paste in powder form (that you mix with
water), some shredded paper and instructions.
Can kids do it?
Yes. It is recommended for ages 6 and up. Is
it messy? A bit, but if you follow
the directions, it's not that big of a mess.
Is it safe?
Yes. the materials are non-toxic. Do I paint
it? Well, you can paint it after
it's dry if you want, but the kit contains colored papers for you to use as
a final colored layer so you don't have to paint. You can also paste your
own papers on it; perhaps pages from magazines and such.
Who would make this?
To name a few: Kids looking for something to do on a rainy day besides playing a video game Adults looking for a fun 'art night' project Home schooled students wanting a 'hands-on' art experience Corporate associates looking for a 'team building' exercise Organizations seeking a unique fundraising event People who are just curious about different art mediums and techniques Anyone wanting to have fun More details coming.
