Steven F. Wirtz

born: 1960

BIRTHPLACE: FOND DU LAC, WISCONSIN.

EDUCATION: Intense grade school and High School instruction in every medium, but oddly enough, not papier mache'. Early years dedicated to extensive crayon experimentation. No collegiate affiliation.

PROFESSIONAL ART PROFILE: Sculptor; exhibiting at various fine art, fine craft, and real good bake sales around the country. Wirtz's art is also available at a few select galleries. Wirtz sporadically  creates comics, cartoons, caricatures, and other odd illustrations. Stay tuned to this website for glimpses of these whenever the webmaster feels ambitious enough to publish them.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

I love my job as an artist, but I am never totally satisfied. I'm always thinking ahead, looking to improve. While I can appreciate past works, more often than not, I see things in my past art that I know I could improve upon. I think that perspective of mine will never go away-and I don't think it should.
