you never know where some really neat surprises are gonna come from.
seemed like a simple turtle piece to start, then the student artist
added all these nice sculptural elements that really brought the thing
to life.

also on this page, shots of the wall relief creation. the background material was celotex, the insulation board used in home construction. its light weight will make hanging and moving the art much easier. sculptural elements of the reliefs were accomplished by adding chicken wire, cardboard, and among other things, imagination. the bottom shot takes a look at one group's "sea scene". that's a manatee on the left side of the piece. see it? |
